Midcentury Tissue Box Cover - Coachella Valley Bank

The historic Coachella Valley Savings & Loan #2 building (now Chase) is the latest in our series of tissue box covers inspired by iconic Palm Springs midcentury architecture. Designed in 1961 by architect E. Stewart Williams, it is located in the Financial District of downtown Palm Springs near his earlier Coachella Valley Savings and Loan #1 (1955), his former Santa Fe Federal Savings & Loan (1961; now the Palm Springs Art Museum Architecture & Design Center), and the Rudy Baumfield-designed Bank of America building (1958). Some of Palm Springs’ most impressive midcentury commercial buildings are within a block. The Coachella Valley Savings & Loan #2 building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
